Thankful Thursday!!

I'm baack, I'm baack, I'mback,I'mback,I'mback!!!!!! Can you feel the excitement coming off my paws!!!! I'm so happy to be back!!!!! I missed everyone so while I was sick. Being a sick puggie is so no fun!! I do not recommend it. Can you believe when the momma took me to see Dr. K that she had the nerve to ask if anything was missing around the house???????? How rude!! Eat one lousy rock and your branded for life =)

So since today is Thankful Thursday, the momma and I wanted to show our thanks for all the comments, prayers and well wishes that all my wonderful blogger friends sent me by spreading the word about another puggy in need and introducing a new blogger friend to the world!!!

First up is Stella & Gunther.

They posted about Landon. Landon is a foster in need of rehab and surgery. He was very lucky to be saved from a shelter by Pugs 'n Pals of Southern California and now needs lots of love and care. Pugs 'N Pals is selling Yankee candles to help raise money to cover the costs of Landon's surgery and care. You can read poor Landon's story on Stella and Gunther's page and you can check out the candles here! Who doesn't love candles with a cause?!?!?!?



Now for introductions of our newest Indy blogger buddy, TicTac.

Little Miss TicTac is most definitely the Alpha female in her pack. Oh, wait, she is the only female!!! She's quite fiesty and knows how to keep the brood in line. Please go over and give her and her 4 brothers a warm blogger welcome!! 4 brothers, can you believe that??? And now is there is a 5th as her momma and daddy are fostering!!

And last, but NEVER least, please keep our wonderful friend Miss Molly O'Mally in your thoughts. She's havin peeing problems and her momma called her a geriatric and her brother Hank called her an old bird or old girl. Neither one is very nice! Her momma got her some special food adn some pills that will hopefully help her out. But until she's all better, let's keep her in our thoughts!!!!

Finally Friday!!!

Not only is it Friday, but I got word this morning that Lilo has turned back into a "FOOD MACHINE." She started showing an interest in food last night, but only for green beans and yogurt treats. Luckily, both of those are pretty easy on her stomach. However, the phone call I got at lunch informed me that she is back to eating anything put in front of her. I guess that means Madie won't get any more Lilo rejects. =)

She even jumped on my lap last night to play Piranha Pug before the Benadryl kicked in adn she climbed back in her crate to sleep.

I put her in bed with me last night and she did not move from about 9:45pm when we laid down and midnight when the daddy got home and let her out. If she slept like that all the time, she would get to spend a lot more nights in the big bed!!!

So it looks like the momma's sweet baby is well on her way back to being her normal, rotten self!!!

Now onto new stuff =) This little cutie above is not, unfortunately, the newest addition to our family. His name is Oisin and he and his momma are from Ireland!! We wanted to extend them a big, warm blogger WELCOME!!!!! We can't wait to see what kind of stuff this pup and his momma get into together.

Thankful Thursday

I wanted to start off by saying THANK YOU to everyone that has commented or checked in, not only here on the blog, but on my Facebook page as well. The amount of support over the last 24 hours has been amazing and I am grateful. As I've talked about Lilo being sick, people will roll their eyes and I have heard comments about are you talking about a person? Some people have a hard time grasping the idea that some of do really love our pets. For me, I don't have human children. Lilo is my baby and the thought of anything happening to her is devestating. I am so grateful that I can log on here and know that everyone understands exactly how I feel!!!! It makes things seem a little easier to deal with.

Now for an update on The Rock Eater: The vomitting stopped about 9:30 lst night. We took her to another vet as ours is closed on Wednesdays. They gave her an antinausea shot that really didn't seem to work. We got about 3/4 of a cup of water with her antobiotic disolved in it into her. We also got a Benadryl into her. About half an hour later, she was lying on the couch breathing easily and peacefully. She slept through the night and gladly rolled over for belly rubs this morning when I checked on her!! Unfortunately, I had to go back to work today. Ryan told me this morning that while she was still turning down food, she attacked the water bowl and did her camel pug impression. She went out adn pottied 3 times and was even feeling frisky enough to kick up some dirt when she was done =). I will tempt her with food again when I get home and hopefully, she will eat. I'm not asking for a full meal, just something!!!

I'll leave you with one of my favorites. She looks like she's about ready to sass me as Walter and Heather would say.

Worried Wednesday - Sick Pug Edition

The momma here. I've taken over the blog today as Lilo is sick. I am, to say the least, worried. The last time she ate and kept food down was dinner Monday night. I took her to the vet last night and they gave us an antibiotic and said it looked like the onset of a respritory infection. My fear, of course, was that she had eaten something again. We are coming up on the one year anniversary of her great rock eating escapde!! I came home from work at noon today and for a little while thought we might be on an up swing, but not so much. I got half a Benadryl, her morning antibiotic (the daddy gave it to her this morning and she waited until we left to spit it back out) and some peanut butter into her today. My joy at those feats was short lived. She is once again sluggish and sickly. I want to believe that the vet is right and it's just a respritory infection that the antibiotics will treat, but it's hard. When she inhales, I can see her whole body shake. When I let her out to potty, she goes and hides under a pile of brush like its her den or something. I don't know what to do or what to think. Right now, we are just watching her.

The hiding in the brush started this morning when I didn't let her in right away after she peed.


I hate to ask any more from all of you than I already have, but if you would just keep Lilo in your thoughts I would really appreciate it. I will keep you updated if anything changes.

My Momma Loves ME!!!!!

Now, I know what you're asking yourselves. How could the momma NOT love this face!! I know right, but this time the momma was really lovin' me!!! How you ask? With this!!!!!

The momma got out the noise machine and made popcorn!!!! Warm, wonderful, fluffy popcorn!! She doesn't bring out the noise machine very often, but when she does we're ready!

I waited patiently for the bowl of fluffiness to arrive.

You can't begin to imagine how patiently I waited for the momma and the popcorn.

Even Madie managed to wait patiently for our wonderful treat.

I even allowed the momma to share with Madie!! It was the least I could do.

Momma, um hello, we're still here. Are we going to get more poppycorn? I mean, I know you shared and all, but don't you think you should share some more? Really, look at us!! We're wasting away to nothing. This is a crime you know?

I did my duty as a proper watch dog and I watched to make sure the popcorn didn't get stolen or eaten by anyone else.

I watched from multiple angles just to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

I was quite diligent in my duties.

I flexed all my muscles to make sure the popcorn was safe from possible poachers.

Alas, for all my hard work I did not get any more poppycorn. Oh well, we enjoyed it while it lasted.
