Weekend Wrap up

First off I want to thank everyone for their concern over the pasta sauce incident. I suffered no ill affects from cleanup efforts. But Mommy still decided to move some things around. Just in case.

So it's Sunday afternoon already and Mommy decided she would let me blog a little since she FINALLY got everything she needs for her next project. I'm not sure what she's up to, but she was getting awfully frustrated with the internet and something it wouldn't give. I decided that I would take a break from napping long enough to tell you what a great time I had with the Pug Posse last night. Unfortunately, I can't post any pictures because Mommy forgot to get batteries before we went. But I know the Pug Posse's Mommy and Daddy got lots of good pictures. Including one of that little wiggle worm Bernice who managed to get on Daddy's lap and got to sit there through dinner! There is no way I would get to sit at the table like a big pug while my humans ate dinner. Who did she think she was? But I managed to have a good time anyway. I played with all of the Pug Posse and I made friends with Eddie. I figured since Daddy is working hard to figure out a way to adopt him, I should probably learn to like him. As nice as he is, we are going to have to discuss working out a schedule for Mommy's lap. It seemed that every time I tried to get back into Mommy's lap, Eddie was already there. I need to talk to him about sharing. Mommy thought it was cute, I was not amused. It all worked out in the end though. I got lots of love from the Pug Posse pawrents, Denny and Vikki. And if Mommy hadn't interfered, Sam would have fed me all night long. Big thanks to Sam for trying to keep my belly full = )

All that fun wore me out!!! I slept on Mommy's lap all the way home last night and then promptly crashed on the couch until Mommy and Daddy were ready for bed. I crawled in the big bed for a little bit, but my sinuses were bothering me, so Mommy gave me a Benedryl and put me in my bed so I could sleep as late as I wanted. This morning that was about 11 my empty belly finally got the better of me. And since Mommy and Daddy are chilling at home today, that means I have been able to nap on the couch most of the day. It's been a nice, quiet Sunday and it's almost dinner time. So I'm going to say good bye for now so Mommy doesn't think it’s OK for dinner to be late.

Everybody take care and have a great week!!!

Trouble and a blog title

So there might have been a little mischief today while all the resident humans were out of the house. If questioned closely, I will put all blame squarely on Kitten. After all, she is the one that likes to hang out in the lazy and her fluffy butt was the one that knocked the jar of 3 cheese marinara sauce on the floor = ). I personally don't see what the big deal is. The cat made a big mess and Madie and I cleaned it up. Complete with licked clean glass fragments (on the couch). Daddy got home and was less than happy. Then I heard him call mommy and tell her about it. He madeit sound like a big deal and got mommy all worried about what might have gotten eaten. She came home all upset that I might have eaten a piece of glass and we would end up back in Anderson at the emergency clinic. I don't know whether to feel loved that mommy is worried or offended that she thinks I would eat a piece of glass. I mean after all I'm a Pug, what would make her think I would eat glass?

Oh yeah, maybe because I have been known to eat a thing or two that weren't meant to be eaten. Most notably, the rock I swallowed on Halloween weekend. An act that Grandpa, and everyone else, will never let me forget. Mommy spent two days going back and forth the vet until finally they took an xray that showed a rock that went in, but refused to come out. So off to Anderson we went to the emergency clinic for late night surgery. Luckily, I came through with flying colors and no ill affects to my appetite. And I must say, the scar has healed so well, that you can barely see it. All in all, things turned out well. Unless you're mommy and feel like yu have to constantly worry about what a pug might eat.

So for now mommy is feeling ok about the pasta jargate. I'm still showing no change in mood and still have a pug like appetite. But only time will tell. So I'm sure she'll keep you updated.

Happiness is.........

I have found the key to a happy tummy...... it's PEEPS!!!!! Mommy shared one of her blue bunnies and I heard angels. Daddy is always making fun of her for buying them, I'm all for it. Daddy threatens to roast them over an open fire or blow them up in the microwave. He says that's the only thing they're good for. I couldn'tdisagree more. Just the crinkle of the celophane is enough to get Madie and I going. Mommy opened the package sets it on the back of the couch.. Madie sits patiently on the floor and I hold my prettiest pug pose next to her and wait for a bite. Well, you know us pugs, we can only be patient for so long and I got tired of waiting. So while Mommy was checking her email, I sneaked up onto the back of the couch and made for the PEEPS. I almost had them to if Madie hadn't blown it by jumping on the couch and tipping Mommy off. I really need to teach her about stealth. I mean, I would have shared my spils with her. How could she doubt me???? ; ) Anyway, Mommy shared, but it wasn't nearly as much as I would have had if my plans hdn't been foiled.
Mommy and Daddy are heading to Chicago this weekend for Mikey's birthday. I'm hoping to blog more while they're away and I don't have to share the computer. Then I can tell how I came by my nickname = )
