Wonderful Weekend!!!!

So Saturday was the was the KPR 500 Festival of Pugs fundraiser!!!! We went and spent the day with the Pug Posse and the Pugs Strike Back. We had a lot of fun and raised money for a good cause.

I entered a few of the contests. I entered the Best Shedder contest and came in dead last. I was soundly beat by our good friend Pippin. He shedded a puppy or two!!! I also entered the Popsicle Eating contest and again got beat. I don't understand why I have eat it on the stick =(

Last but not least, the momma entered me in the Costume Contest.

I dressed up as the magnificent Minnie Pearl in a FABULOUS dress and hat by Punchy at Pugpossessed. The momma picked out the dress from Punchy's Etsy shop with a gift certificate from our wonderful friend Clover!!!!

I was the prettiest, prettiest pug if I do say so myself!! I worked the red carpet like a pro and won the hearts of the wonderful judges!!!

The momma also bought me a new harness and 5, yes 5, new collars from Sew Doggone Cute!!! They have such cute patterns and momma loves their stuff. I will be one stylin pug =) I don't have as many as Brutus yet, but I'm working on it =)

They always have lots of fun raffles to raise money for the puggies and this time, the momma won the bestest basket!!! They raffled off a basket that had a picture by Emmitt's mommy Melissa!!!! It has the black pug licking the fawn pug =) I'm pretty sure the momma dropped about half of her tickets into that one bag. The momma was so happy!!!

After a long, but wonderful day, I was wiped out. I was so tired, that I didn't even let the momma take my dress off before I passed out.

I slept all the way home. After unloading the car and grabbing my dinner, we headed to the Posses house to hang so the parents could have dinner and we puggies could rest.

On Sunday, the momma, daddy and the Posse parents went to the State Fair. Unfortunately, they do not allow puggies at the fair. The momma figured since we had already been kicked out of one fair, we probably shouldn't push our luck. But I was good hanging at home with Madie and the kitties. It was to darn hot out there for a pug!!! I like my air conditioning, thank you very much =)

They had a hot, but fun day. The daddy tried the new fair food this year, chocolate covered bacon. I guess that's one way to keep the puggies from eating all the bacon =P The daddy said it was good, the momma just shook her head.

The momma and I wrapped up a wonderful weekend with me drooling on her tummy while she at some cashews. Can't believe she didn't share!!! Kept mumbling something about not sure if they were good for me or not. What is she talking about, everything is good for me!!!!!

Hope all of our friends had a great weekend. Please send lots of Pug love and kisses to Hank's sister Molly O'Mally. She had to have emergency surgery last night!!!! She is at home recovering. So Hank, you be nice to her!!! =)

Happy Momma = Happy Pug!!!

I am here to tell you that the key to a happy puggy is a happy momma!!! Anyone that knew the momma when she first moved down here, knows that the she ALWAYS had her nails done. She would call it "me time". Whatever that is. Anyway, every other Saturday, she would drive up Lafayette and get a diet nilla coke from an igloo and go see her friend Mary to get her nails done.

I was more than ok with this process, becasue the momma would come home with premo butt scratchers!!!! These things were the greatest. Momma thought the looked nice, I thought they felt great. Well, last night the momma got nails again. Now, please understand they are not Mary nails, as Mary has retired from doing the butt scratcher nails, but they did a pretty good job!!!

Madie even got belly scratches from the momma's new nails.

I not only got but scratches, but I got back scratches too!!!! As you can see, I was doubly happy. The momma to scratch my back AND a bone to chew on. How much better could this night get!?!?!?!?

WAIT!!!!!! Did Madie get more belly rubs while I was chewing on the bone??? That is so wrong. Wait until I am distracted with chewing to take advantage of the situation. How shameful!!! Well, I hope she enjoyed it, becasue I will not be leeting that happen agin any time soon. I am going to have to keep a close eye on her. First she steals my bone and now my belly rubs. Shameful I tell you, shameful!!!!

Happiness is butt scratches and belly rubs. It doesn't get much sweeter =)

Awards - Finally!!!!

So. as promised, I finally got the momma to post my awards.

I've started with the one I stole!!! I thought this was quite appropriate as anyone who has seen the "pug in the toilet" picture. I think that more than qualified me for this award. Wouldn't you agree?!?!?!


This one was posted by Thunder and Phantom for all of the bloggers to share. So we are sharing the love!!! This award is for everyone because you are all wonderful and make the world a better place in your own special way.

And last, bust most certainly not least, this one was given to me by Sequoia & Petunia for the making them smile with the "pug in the toilet" picture!!! As embarassing as that picture was, I am so glad that it has made so many people laugh and smile!!!! So here it is for all of my fellow bloggers to sharebecause you all make me smile and laugh when I need it most!!!

I am so glad to be back on my blog and all caught up with my firends. I promise to keep the momma on her toes from now on so we don't get behind and miss anything again!!!

I Will Surive!!!!

So, I want to apologize for the momma and comcast and everyone else that has conspired to keep my blog down!!! It started with internet problems and then progressed to lappytop problems. So finally, we have got the internet fixed and the momma got a new lappytop. So tonight the momma is going to transfer everything from the old lappytop to the new lappytop so we can get my blog back up and going!!!

I also want to apologize for the momma's lack of commenting. Since we were having problems at home, she was trying to keep up with everyone's blogs at work and is finding it a difficult. But we will be back in fighting form in no time!!

Upcoming blogs will include awards and a two part Pay it Forward!!!! I am so excited. Plus we are attending the 500 Festival of Pugs for KPR this weekend and hope to see as many of our pugy friends as possible. So next week will start with a bang!!!
