Rainy Holidays!!!

So we planned to spend the 4th of July weekend with Grandma and Grandpa at their house. I was really looking forward to going to Wolcott and getting treats and loving from everyone at the festival.

Friday after mommy ran errands, daddy, Denny and Sam (from the Pug Posse) put up the rest of the fence and I was done getting beautiful at the groomers, we headed north to Grandma's. Who knew a day of pampering and driving could be so exhausting. But by the time we got to Grandma's I was one pooped pug. After dinner all I could do was curl up on a pillow and go to sleep.

Saturday morning came in a little cloudy, but we held out hope. The kitties seemed to know it was a day meant for sleeping. Chi was sleepin on the arm, yes the her skinny butt fits on the arm, of the puter chair in Grandpa's den. She seemed quite content to watchthe world go by from there. At least until lunch when she promptly parked herself on a stool next to mommy! If only I could jump like the kitty!! Life would be different =)

Poor Moe wasn't feeling well. She's diabetic like Pearl's cousin Molly. She's supposed to get shots twice a day too. Grandma said she hadn't been eating so tey wondered if she had gotten enough insulin while they were on vacation. Mommy found out last night, that since she had not been eating and possibly lost weight too, she was getting to much insulin. Grandma said Moe went into insulin shock Saturday night after we left. The vet said to give her sugar. How about that? Last time I got sick my vet didn't say to give me sugar. I think I need to trade vets =) So Miss Moe now has something in her lungs that she has to take two pills for and no more insulin until she starts eating like a big kitty again. I tried to be nice to her the whole time I was there. I didn't even try to move her when she was lying in the way of the front door. I kindly went around. See, I can be good pug!!

Unfortunately, there was to be no parade for us on the 4th. The Pug Posse parents came up to Grandma's house in hopes of fun and festivities. But instead, they got, lunch, Harry Potter and a wet trip through what was left fo the festival booths. Mommy harnessed me up and took me out to the festival to walk in the rain. Can you believe that??!?!?!? I could have stayed at Grandma's and cuddled on the chair, but no!! I had to go get wet with the rest of them. For that, I peed in every booth mommy stopped and about every 5 feet in between! I showed her =) We also saw Brutus and Yoda's mommy at the park. They got to stay home an sleep =P

We made the best of our day though. Mommy got new jewelry and daddy go fried stuff!! All in all it wasn't that bad.

Sunday, we stayed home and relaxed. This pug was pooped after walking in the rain . So I slept!!

Happy Monday!!!!!

My new friend Princess the Pit Bull tagged me last week to play a game and mommy is just now getting it done. You're supposed to open you pictures folder and pick the 6th folder and then the 6th picture in that folder. Post that picture and tell the storry behind it!! Then you get to tag 5 friends to play too!!

The story behind this is pretty simple: Mommy is a sap!!! She's says she thinks the way my face wrinkles up when is sleep is too cute not to take a pictur of. Sheesh!! Is there anything mommies won't take a picture of? We can't even sleep without that flashy thing going off in our faces. But that's what mommies are for. To tell us how cute we are and love us to pieces.

Potty Jail

That is where I'm going to be spending a lot of free time for a while. 30 minutes into Mommy's work day, Aunt Amanda sent her a text messagy thingy to tattle on me for leaving shartwork in her room. (No pics available. Please refer to Pearl for an excellent example) Aunt Manda and Mommy agreed that for a while at least, I will either have to be in my crate until Aunt Manda gets up in the morning or Mommy will have to gate me in our bedroom. The way I see it, they should all be happy that I did it on Aunt Manda's floor and not the big bed! But apparently I'm the only one that sees that upside! Mommy is just hoping the "accident" is because I've been getting more food this week since we're out of my greenie beanies and she hasn't been to the store. Bet I get greenie beanies tonight!!!

I'm sure right about now, Mommy and Aunt Manda were wishing this was a reality!! = )

Hope everyone is staying cool in this MISERABLE heat!! I for one am glad to be a pug of leisure with humans that enjoy air conditioning as much as I do!!!

Mommy and Daddy Love Me!!

So it's a given that my Mommy and Daddy love me, but they really proved it Saturday night at Grandma's house. We went up to Grandma's to help Grandma with her mp3 player and to celebrate Father's Day on Sunday. About the time we hit Lafayette, mommy and daddy realized that they forgot my travel crate and bed!! Not a big deal you say, it is for me. Grandma's house has funny noises and lights and things that we don't have at home. At least when I have crate, I can shut out the world and pretend that I'm at home. That's the way I like it! I'm pretty sure that after last weekend there will be no more forgetting my bed!!

This is how you wake up the mommy at 4am when you can't sleep and really want to go outside and get a drink of water!! Waking up the daddy was much easier. I just sat at the end of mommy's bd and breath REALLY heavy. We went to bed about 11pm. Mommy got up with me t get water about 11:30. Daddy got up with me at around 1am to go outside and potty. Mommy got up at 4am to take me potty and get water and then again at 7am to get me breakfast. It was terrible!! I couldn't get comfortable, the room was kind of stuffy so I was panting a little more than usual. Mommy was worried that I had gotten into something and was sick pug. Daddy just wanted me to go to sleep. But they both kept getting up with me. Now that is LOVE!!!!!

We spent the day at Columbia Park for Father's Day. We had a nice lunch from KFC and I got some fruit. After a little rain, we walked toward the zoo at the park. Mommy knew I was getting warm, so she wanted to take me to play in the fountains at the park. We went through the gate and mommy and daddy got me all wet so I could cool off. After I was nice and wet, mommy and went back to the gates of the zoo and sat on the bench. About 10 minutes later, a park attendant came over and asked us to leave because I wasn't welcome in the zoo. Can you believe that? I wasn't welcome. Well, we went outside the gate and waited for everyone to get done so we could head home.

After spending the day at the park with the family, mommy and daddy were pretty worn out. After we got home, everybody passed out on the couch. It was a long day, ecspecially after getting no sleep the night before. Even I needed a nap!!

All in all, it was a good weekend!! I got to see Grandma and Grandpa and hang out with my cousin Corey and get kicked out of my first zoo!! What more could I ask for???

WOO HOO!! I GOT AN AWARD!! (MY FIRST)

Oh me, Oh my!!!!! We got our FIRST award!!!!!!! I’m so excited I almost peed on the laptop!! (Guess I would have owned it then huh??)
